finally! I liked this sequence but I was hampered I felt by not knowing who glover was - every day's a learning day!
I liked the first three sections more than the last two. there's an air of assumption that sits nicely beside description and leads well into the semonka.
I think possibly the contrast in language between the two parts is too jarring. it makes the woman's description less articulate for me.
the death poem it's the second line that doesn't quite flow (sic!) for me. great finish tho.
Thanks m. I've written about Glover before, as have Alan Spence and others. He was a larger than life character, and I suspect I'd have disliked him thoroughly if I'd met him.
